Video shows hooded thieves stealing ATM from eatery
Two crooks were captured on surveillance video as they struggled to remove an ATM machine at a Queens eatery before dragging it out of the store.
The thieves pried open the front door at the Rockaway West Indian Roti Shop on Rockaway Boulevard near 122nd Place in South Ozone Park on Dec.11 around 5 a.m., and are seen on video pulling on the machine before lugging it — wires and all — out of the store.
One of the thieves ended up getting caught on a string that appeared to display bags of chips as the duo made their exit.
The suspects are a man and a woman seen on the video wearing winter coats with hoods over their heads.
