A Long Island man hopped up on drugs crashed his car into a home — and then fled the scene in his birthday suit, police said.
John Winn, 33, plowed his blue Ford Escort through an above-ground pool and into the kitchen of a residential home on Ridgewood Drive in Shirley, Long Island, at around 11:30 p.m. Thursday.
Winn managed to free himself from the wreckage, then peeled off all his clothes and made a run for it, police said.
His escape was short-lived, as cops caught up with him down the block.
He was taken to Brookhaven Memorial Hospital with minor injuries.
Cops charged him with driving while ability impaired by drugs, reckless endangerment, and leaving the scene of an accident.
The home he smashed into was occupied at the time, but no one was injured, police said.
The crash left a gaping hole on the side of the house, exposing the kitchen. To add insult to injury, the home also was flooded with stagnant pool water.
