A convicted murderer told police he was abducted, stabbed and robbed by two men trying to collect a debt in Coney Island on Friday, law-enforcement sources said.
Donald Wallace, 68, who was released from prison in 1992 after he served 20 years for murder, told police that the men ordered him to withdraw cash from an ATM in a a Pay-O-Matic check-cashing store at about 3:30 a.m., officials said.
When his PIN number didn’t work, the two men forced him into a gray SUV at knifepoint near West 24th Street and Mermaid Avenue, according to sources.
His captors allegedly stabbed him once in the head and three times in the back and stole his cash.
The victim then took out his own knife and cut one of the men on the arm, police said.
The victim told cops he managed to flee the vehicle near Avenue W and Nostrand Avenue in Sheepshead Bay, about 5 miles away, police sources said.
He walked several blocks then called 911.
EMS took the man to Lutheran Hospital in stable condition.
Cops are investigating the incident.
