One man slashed another in the face after an altercation on an No. 3 train on the Upper West Side Sunday night, cops said.
The victim, 26, was attacked just before 11 p.m. after he stepped on the man’s foot, according to police sources.
The slasher wounded him in the forehead before fleeing the train at 72nd Street and Broadway.
Emergency responders took the bleeding straphanger to Saint Luke’s Hospital, where he remains in serious condition but is expected to survive, authorities said.
