Your penis is doomed

There are many unfortunate side effects of aging – hair goes gray, weight is trickier to keep in check and don’t expect to remember where the car keys are.

It turns out there is another place the process impacts too, and it’s not spoken about that often.

Sorry guys, but we’re talking about your penis.

Yes, apparently the intimate area goes through more than a few changes as the years progress, so here is what’s in store iff it hasn’t started to happen already.

1. It’s going to shrink

That’s probably not the news you were hoping for, but sometimes it’s best to get straight to the heart of the matter.

On the plus side, if you’ve been worried your member it looking a little smaller than it used to it’s probably not your imagination.

This happens because as you age more cells in the downstairs area are swapped for collagen, which isn’t as elastic. That means things are tauter, so it can give the appearance of your penis being smaller.

On top of that, testosterone decreases as we age so your manhood will actually shrink, plus if you fall victim to the dreaded middle-aged weight game it’s going to look smaller anyway.

2. The shape might change

Penises come in all shapes and sizes, but as time wears on you might find yours alters slightly.

It’s very common for older men to have slightly curved members, and it’s all due to a build-up of tiny accidents.

Small injuries can cause scar tissue to be created, and the more of that you get the more likelihood of things starting to bend.

So you could argue a wonky willy is the sign of a pretty fun life.

3. Performance problems

Of course, this can strike men of any age, but you may find it harder to get an erection in your twilight years.

It’s because erections are all about blood flow, and as we age we’re more prone to conditions which block that from happening.

Faulty veins and hormone imbalances can be to blame too, so it’s always worth speaking to your doctor.

The good news is there is help available. Viagra is the most common prescription, but there are other treatments following in its wake.

Last year, it was claimed the humble cucumber could be the key to curing the issue.

The loss of testosterone previously mentioned can make things less sensitive downstairs too, which makes orgasms harder to achieve.

The best thing to do to help? Try to have an erection every day – working on those arteries really does help.

4. The color might alter

There’s a condition called Atherosclerosis which is when arteries get clogged up with a fatty substance.

Blood flow can be restricted to vital areas, which can mean the color of your member is affected.

Since there is less blood it might look lighter.

A general sign of aging is mottled skin too, which often happens on your arms but could should up in more sensitive areas.

On top of that, you might find things are a little more bare in the area as loss of testosterone can impact public hair growth.

5. It’ll get wrinkly

That’s right, wrinkles don’t just affect your face.

As you age your skin loses its elasticity, and that’s what causes it to sag and become lined.

Unfortunately, it’s not just the skin on your face which will go bad.

You may find your nether regions start to sag too. There are operations you can have to get rid of the excess skin, but it’s a completely normal part of aging so think carefully before embarking on something so drastic.
