Joe Biden will go on one final overseas jaunt as vice president, travelling to Ukraine and Switzerland, the White House announced.
“In Ukraine the Vice President will participate in bilateral meetings with President Poroshenko and Prime Minister Groysman. The Vice President’s trip to Ukraine will underscore U.S. support — and highlight his personal involvement in providing support — for Ukrainian independence, democratic development, prosperity and security,” the White House announced.
“While in Switzerland, the Vice President will attend the World Economic Forum in Davos. The Vice President will deliver remarks on the Cancer Moonshot and deliver an address on Foreign Policy. The Vice President will also participate in several bilateral meetings,” it added.
Biden’s trip will be Jan. 15-18, days before he’s planning to leave Washington and return to his home state of Delaware.
On Jan. 20, President-elect Donald Trump and Vice President-elect Mike Pence will be sworn into office.
