A heroin-peddling ex-cop — notorious for motorcycling around Staten Island in a helmet emblazoned, “Li’l Miss Dangerous” — has been sentenced to four years jail.
The tough sentence for Stacey Staniland, 29, comes after she repeatedly failed to take advantage of court-offered rehab last year.
In fact, Staniland was kicked out of her third treatment program in October when she was caught selling drugs to fellow rehab patients, officials said.
“We agree with the court’s decision to hold Ms. Staniland accountable for her crimes,” Staten Island DA Michael McMahon said after Friday’s sentencing.
“Ms. Staniland was given multiple opportunities to avail herself of treatment both from our office and the courts, and on each occasion violated that condition and in fact escalated her criminal behavior to selling drugs.”
Staniland was a cop at the 122nd Precinct when she was repeatedly busted last year for heroin sales. She was forced to resign in July, after she was charged with blowing through the borough on her motorcycle and striking two vehicles waiting at a red light.
Cops illegal prescription pills and drug paraphernalia in her backpack after that crash, officials said.
