Rich hipsters looking to live in trendy Williamsburg better start counting their pennies.
Adding a new level of pricey to the already hypergentrified Brooklyn neighborhood, a four-bedroom pad in the Oosten condo building will soon hit the market for a cool $18,500 per month, The Post can reveal, making it Williamsburg’s most expensive rental listing.
But that sky-high price doesn’t make these 4,597-square-foot digs the priciest in Brooklyn. That honor goes to a six-story, 6,192-square-foot townhouse at 16 Remsen St. in Brooklyn Heights, which came to market in December for $50,000 monthly, StreetEasy shows.
And although neighboring Manhattan has a stock of rentals priced in the hundreds of thousands of dollars, the mighty $18,500 price for this Williamsburg rental still makes a big mark. The nabe’s current title-holder is a two-story dwelling inside a converted 19th-century firehouse that asks $13,750 per month — down from its original $15,000.
They’re both far above Williamsburg’s average rent, which clocked in at $3,668 in the fourth quarter of 2016, according to Citi Habitats.
The Oosten unit is a townhouse-style pad with two floors and a cellar that stands 25 feet wide. Ceilings on the ground floor reach 13 feet high, while a chef’s kitchen with a pantry looks out to a private garden space with a plunge pool.
Elsewhere in the home, there’s a master suite with en suite baths and two closets. It also has a private entrance and direct access to an enclosed two-car garage.
The Oosten, an amenity-clad development designed by rising Dutch star Piet Boon, has two lobbies, a 24-hour concierge, a landscaped rooftop with a reflection pool, a separate lap pool, a gym with a spa, a lounge and a playroom for children. It’s located south of the Williamsburg Bridge on Kent Avenue.
