President Trump went on a Twitter rampage early Friday, launching salvos at a scattered range of targets, including Iran, “fake news” and Arnold Schwarzenegger.
“Yes, Arnold Schwarzenegger did a really bad job as Governor of California and even worse on the Apprentice…but at least he tried hard!” Trump said at 6:24 a.m., following up on his mockery of his successor host of “The Apprentice” Thursday at the National Prayer Breakfast.
Minutes later, the president issued another warning to Iran, saying the country shouldn’t expect him to be “kind.”
“Iran is playing with fire — they don’t appreciate how ‘kind’ President Obama was to them. Not me!” Trump said at 6:28 a.m. Earlier this week, the Trump administration put Iran “on notice” for violating United Nations Security Council resolutions.
Then at 6:34 a.m., Trump weighed in on reports that he had a contentious phone call with his Australian counterpart — blaming the kerfuffle on the media.
“Thank you to Prime Minister of Australia for telling the truth about our very civil conversation that FAKE NEWS media lied about. Very nice!” Trump said.
Next, the president previewed his executive duties.
“Meeting with biggest business leaders this morning. Good jobs are coming back to U.S., health care and tax bills are being crafted NOW!” he said.
And finally, he went back to attack mode, decrying the waves of protests that have erupted since he took office less than a month ago.
“Professional anarchists, thugs and paid protesters are proving the point of the millions of people who voted to MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!” he added.
