We hear that developer Harry Macklowe, who last year said “penis envy” was fueling the drive to create the city’s new crop of super-tall buildings, is getting increasingly Freudian.
“I wish my parents were still alive so that I could show them that I built a building that was taller than the Empire State Building,” Macklowe said of 432 Park Ave. at “City of Tomorrow,” the inaugural sold-out 92nd Street Y summit produced last weekend by Robin Dolch’s luxury real estate PR firm Hundred Stories.
Also, we hear that interior designer Bunny Williams is desperately in search of a home to host the 45th annual Kips Bay Decorator Show House, which benefits the area’s Boys & Girls Club.
The gala can’t announce a date until they have a house, a frantic spokesman said. Participating designers in years past include Victoria Hagan and Thom Filicia.
