Cops on Wednesday blasted a Penn State fraternity where a New Jersey sophomore fell down a staircase and later died — after no one called for help for 12 hours.
Timothy Piazza, 19, of Readington Township, tumbled down basement stairs at the Beta Theta Pi fraternity at 11 p.m. Feb. 2, in sight of other partygoers who didn’t call 911 until 10:49 a.m., police said.
Piazza was taken to Hershey Medical Center and pronounced dead Saturday, officials said.
State College Police Lt. Keith Robb said his department preaches to students to call for help under any circumstances.
“I mean, if you save a life, we’ll give you a pass. I don’t know where that message got lost with this fraternity,” Robb told The Post.
Had someone called 911 immediately, Robb said: “The odds would have been significantly greater that he could have survived his injures.”
