Sean Spicer’s rules to living your best life

Sean Spicer’s rules for life include thinking before tweeting and “perception is reality,” according to a list he provided his Roman Catholic boarding school alma mater, Portsmouth Abbey in Narragansett Bay in Rhode Island.

Spicer’s rules were compiled in 2014, more than two years before he became White House press secretary in the Trump administration, The Boston Globe reported.

Spicer’s Rule No. 2 is “Think before you tweet, post, or upload.”

Rule No. 9 is “Perception is reality.”

Rule No. 17 is “Life is short; leave it on the field.”

The rules shed some light into how Spicer, an experienced Republican professional, views the world.

But they also could come in handy at the White House, where tweets often bring negative coverage and where reality isn’t always reflected in perception.
