Chad Kelly’s NFL hopes took a hit, and a sexy adversary was there to kick him while he was down.
The former Ole Miss quarterback has been barred from participating in this year’s NFL Scouting Combine due to his criminal history, according to Kelly’s agent, Vance McAllister. Speaking on 1270 The Fan, McAllister claims there was confusion because his client had received a supposed go-ahead from the league in January and never received a written notice rescinding his invite. Kelly’s agents were ultimately notified by the NFL over the phone that his invite would be rescinded.
Bleacher Report said Kelly is subject to the NFL’s new rule in which players convicted of violent crimes are prohibited from participating in the combine. The nephew of legendary Bills quarterback Jim Kelly pleaded guilty to disorderly conduct stemming from a nightclub brawl in late 2014. The incident took place about eight months after he was kicked off Clemson’s football team for “detrimental conduct,” which included screaming at his coaches.
While missing the scouting combine could affect Kelly’s draft stock, it appears his ego is also taking a beating from a familiar online foe.
Porn star Mia Khalifa, who has called Kelly out multiple times for his failed attempts to message her on Twitter, fired off scathing tweet citing Kelly’s transgressions.
“He wasn’t invited in my DM’s either, so he’ll prob show up to the combine drunk asking Gruden if he wants to FaceTime,” Khalifa wrote.
Last fall, Kelly attempted to get Khalifa’s phone number via direct message. The Florida Seminoles fan and retired adult film star exposed the quarterback with screenshots of their exchange to her 1.4 million social media followers.
Khalifa ended Wednesday’s tirade against Kelly with a peace offering — sort of.
