Returning UFC legend Georges St-Pierre will wipe out Conor McGregor and Michael Bisping, according to his friend and teammate Rory MacDonald.
The Canadian icon quit while still on top of the game back in 2013 after defending his UFC welterweight title for a ninth consecutive time and 25-2 overall record.
St-Pierre has kept in top shape, working alongside MacDonald at their Tristar Gym, and has now re-signed with Dana White’s promotion in order to pursue massive fights and paydays.
St-Pierre and MacDonald’s coach, Firas Zahabi, revealed that his man is not interested in warm-up fights or title runs, just huge battles against the likes of McGregor and Bisping.
And fellow Canadian MacDonald, who has moved from the UFC to Bellator, where he will face England’s Paul “Semtex” Daley, says “GSP” will win both clashes.
Ahead of his Bellator debut on May 19 in London, MacDonald said: “I see Georges fighting the way he has always fought, he can do all the new things he has learned, but when it is time to fight he applies his strengths. He comes out, he puts you on your back and he grounds and pounds you or does his stuff on his feet. I don’t see or expect him changing too much besides being healthier and ready again to go, mentally.
“Bisping right now seems like a good fit and I think Georges wins that fight. I am a little bit biased, obviously, but I will be picking Georges for that. I also think he wins the Conor fight and not just because he is bigger. His style wins the fight. Conor is dangerous, he has some wicked boxing and takedown defense, but Georges is another animal. When he gets a hold of you, you have nowhere to go, and I don’t see many people being able to beat that.”
