A man was arrested twice in two days for trying to board flights at LaGuardia Airport with weapons in his carry-on, Port Authority officials said Monday.
Michael Rios Jr., 25, was first cuffed Friday when TSA agents spotted a gravity knife and metal knuckles in his luggage as he tried to go through a screening checkpoint inside terminal D around 8 a.m., authorities said.
The items were seized, and Rios was slapped with weapons possession charges, officials said.
Then around 10:45 a.m. Saturday, the man again tried to board a flight, this time with a bag containing an air pistol, six knives and throwing stars, authorities said.
Rios, a Maine resident, was charged with several more counts of possession of a weapon, Port Authority police said.
