The manager of a McDonald’s in Florida was shot in the neck after an argument with a customer over his frappé order, according to reports.
The violence unfolded inside a McDonald’s on State Road 436 in Altamonte Springs after Freddy Hormazabal started complaining about his frappé with manager David Rosario and shot him in the neck late Wednesday, the Orlando Sentinel reported.
Witnesses said Hormazabal, 39, of Deltona, fired after arguing with employees and demanding a refund, according to reports from the Altamonte Springs Police Department and Volusia County Sheriff’s Office.
“All the witnesses were saying that he was being loud and irate and there were family members that had come in with him to try to calm him down,” police spokeswoman Evelyn Estevez told WKMG.
After telling Hormazabal to leave and that he was calling the cops, Rosario tried to escort him out of the restaurant but was shot in the neck by Hormazabal — who then jumped in his vehicle and sped away, Estevez said.
Hormazabal surrendered a short time later and was arrested on attempted murder charges, police said.
Rosario, meanwhile, was treated for the wound and released from Orlando Regional Medical Center.
