A 31-year-old Texas actress and former beauty queen was found dead in her home this week, according to reports.
Margaret Ann Garza’s lifeless body was discovered Tuesday around 6:30 a.m. in her residence in Round Rock, north of Austin, police told My San Antonio.
It isn’t clear how she died — an autopsy is pending and police are investigating.
Garza appeared in the 2016 independent action movie “Mercury Plains” with Scott Eastwood, the 2010 comedy flick “Snatch ‘n’ Grab” and the 2011 short horror film “Blackout,” according to her IMDb profile
She also has a role on the AMC show “The Son,” starring Pierce Brosnan, KXAN reported.
Garza was crowned Miss Texas Belleza Latina in 2007 and Miss Belleza Latina International in 2008, My San Antonio reported.
El Cenizo Mayor Raul L. Reyes, who knew Garza from her beauty pageant days, remembered her fondly.
“I speak for a lot people when I say that any person who crossed paths with Margaret knew she was a charismatic individual who had this aura surrounding her with so much positivity,” Reyes told My San Antonio.
“She seemed to see the good in people,” he added, noting that she participated in many volunteer efforts in El Cenizo. “There was never a dull moment with her.”
A five-minute video interview with Garza, by filmmaker Ryan Bazan, garnered nearly 22,000 views by Friday morning.
“IN LOVING MEMORY ‘MARGARET ANN GARZA,'” the video title says. “RIP mi buena amiga.”
