How to have sex that gets better with age

Good sex isn’t in the hips — it’s in your heart.

Older people who feel young at heart have better sex, researchers from the University of Waterloo in Ontario have found.

The study, published in the Journal of Sex Research, looked at more than 1,000 40- to 70-year-olds’ attitudes toward sex and aging over a 10-year period.

Researchers found that the older people felt, the less likely they were to feel satisfied with their sex lives.
“Feeling younger had a huge impact on how people felt about the quality of their sex life and how interested they were in having sex,” said Steven Mock, an associate professor in recreation and leisure studies at Waterloo, in a statement. “For people in mid- to later life, feeling young at heart actually appears to make a difference in the bedroom.”

Interestingly, feeling old didn’t necessarily affect how much sex people were having — it just made it worse. So if you’re of a certain age, please, try to channel your youth before you get down to it.
