A Williamsburg straphanger dressed all in black maced a fellow passenger on the L train because she didn’t like his cough, police said Friday.
The 45-year-old victim was sitting on a bench on the platform of the First Avenue stop at about 3:30 a.m. May 23rd when he coughed, police said.
“Why you cough like that for?” the woman sitting next to him asked, according to cops.
When the train arrived, the woman chased the man into the final car and sprayed him with mace, cops said. The man fell to the floor, twisting his leg, and the woman jumped on him but was pulled off by a bystander, according to authorities.
The woman is described as approximately 30 years old, 5-foot-6 and 160 pounds, with brown eyes and black hair in braids. She fled the train at Bedford Avenue.
