A disabled man with a pro-LGBT sticker on his walker was repeatedly punched in the face by a bike-riding hater who hurled anti-gay slurs at him in Midtown, police sources said Wednesday.
The 44-year-old victim was approached by the man as he was waiting for the bus at West 27th Street and Avenue of the Americas Monday evening, NYPD sources said.
The victim told police that the man said “I f—–g hate f—–s,” referring to a sticker on his walker which expressed support for the LGBT community, before fleeing on his bicycle, the sources said.
The victim was transported to Bellevue Hospital for an abrasion below his right eye in stable condition.
The incident is being investigated as a possible hate crime, police said.
