Two weeks after Tiger Woods announced he was getting “professional help” to manage his medications, the golf legend stated that his program is finished.
“I recently completed an out of state private intensive program,” Woods tweeted early Monday evening. “I will continue to tackle this going forward with my doctors, family and friends. I am so very thankful for all of the support I’ve received.”
The 14-time major champion had checked into a clinic to deal with his use of prescription drugs for pain and a sleep disorder, his agent told the Associated Press at the time.
Woods was arrested on a DUI charge in Jupiter, Fla., on May 29, when he was found asleep in his car 15 miles from his home. Woods has undergone four surgeries on his back since 2014. He was last seen on a golf course in February for the Omega Dubai Desert Classic, in which he shot an opening-round 77 before withdrawing with back spasms.
