An Arizona man who was wearing a clown mask when he tried to sexually assault a young girl was sentenced to more than 30 years in prison this week.
Corey Morris was also sentenced to a lifetime of probation after pleading guilty to attempted sexual assault, burglary and voyeurism in connection to the September 2015 attack, the Pima County Attorney’s Office announced Monday.
While donning a clown mask, Morris entered a home that was being rented by four women and walked into a bedroom before trying to sexually assault the victim, startling her and alerting her roommates. Authorities did not release her age.
“The roommate entered victim one’s room and started to scream, Morris then fled,” the prosecutor’s office said in a statement.
But Morris left his phone, his fingerprints and DNA evidence at the scene. He was arrested a short time later.
Investigators later found videos on Morris’ phone showing two women and a man undressed — footage believed to be taken from outside nearby homes. Police identified later identified two victims from the creepy clips, Tucson.com reports.
