Cops arrested one of two crooks wanted in the gunpoint robbery of a trendy Brooklyn restaurant, police said.
Tony Thomas, 38, of Brownsville, was arrested Friday evening in connection to the early Wednesday heist at The Meatball Shop in Williamsburg.
Thomas, who was armed with a handgun, entered the shop with an accomplice around 3 a.m. and ordered an employee to open a safe, according to police.
The suspects removed $2,000 in cash and then forced the 30-year-old employee to hide in a walk-in freezer, cops said.
The bandits were caught on surveillance video as they stalked through the bar before fleeing the establishment.
Cops tracked down Thomas through a tip. He was charged with robbery, criminal possession of a weapon, misapplication of property and menacing, police said.
The other suspect, who appeared to be between 30 and 35 years old, around 6-foot-1 and 280 pounds, remains at large, cops said. He wore glasses, a black scarf on his head, a purple long-sleeved shirt and dark-colored pants at the time of the robbery, police said.
