A jerk driving a Nissan dragged a cop 200 feet during a routine traffic stop in Queens early Saturday, and then sped off, police said.
The scary incident began when the unidentified officer witnessed a white Altima blow a red light at Guy R. Brewer Boulevard and 144th Avenue in Springfield Gardens around 1:50 a.m. After the cop pulled over the Altima, he approached the driver and instructed him to put the car in park and turn off the engine, police said.
Instead, the driver, who had a female passenger in the back seat, took off, dragging the cop, who got his arm caught by a seat belt inside the car, police said.
The officer eventually freed himself, and was treated at Long Island Jewish Hospital for scrapes and bruises to his arms and hands, cops said.
Police found the abandoned Nissan at 177th Place and 145th Drive.
The driver appeared to be in his 20s, cops said.
In June, a 15-year-old gangbanger driving a stolen car was charged with attempted murder and assault for dragging a cop along several blocks in Brooklyn.
