Lloyd Blankfein is trolling Trump on Twitter again.
“Wish the moon wasn’t the only thing casting a shadow across the country,” the Goldman Sachs CEO tweeted Monday, without mentioning President Trump’s name. “We got through one, we’ll get through the other.”
Blankfein’s jab got a retweet from Wikileaks founder Julian Assange, who saw it as a declaration of “war” on the president.
The afternoon tweet was the latest in a slew of thinly veiled digs Blankfein has taken at Trump. Just last week, Blankfein lamented Trump’s reaction to the violent clashes in Charlottesville, Va., quoting Abraham Lincoln saying, “A house divided against itself cannot stand.”
Earlier that same weekend, Blankfein had ripped Trump for blaming “many sides” for the death of anti-racist protester Heather Heyer.
Blankfein’s latest tweet on Monday came a few hours after pictures emerged of Trump looking directly up at the solar eclipse without eye protection.
A Goldman Sachs rep said Blankfein’s Monday tweet “speaks for itself.”
