Albanese wants to know ‘what planet’ de Blasio is living on

Challenger Sal Albanese questioned “what planet Bill is living on” when Mayor de Blasio boasted at the first mayoral debate Wednesday night that his administration had boosted the stock of affordable housing.

“If you think New York is more affordable, vote for Bill de Blasio,” Albanese suggested during the showdown at Symphony Space on the Upper West Side.

“We have a housing crisis.’

De Blasio shot back that Albanese, a former City Councilman making his third run for City Hall, “has been out of public life for 20 years” and wasn’t aware of the city’s effort to add more housing that’s affordable.
