A young mom thought things couldn’t possibly get worse when cops arrested her husband for downloading child porn — until police discovered footage of the sicko raping her while she slept.
British mom of four Catrina Young, 28, has opened up about the sickening discovery of her spouse’s depraved secret life when police raided their Ipswich home.
“I will never get over the night when the police came — he was in the sitting room, surrounded by police. He couldn’t meet my eyes as the police told me what had happened,” she told The Sun in a new report.
“I felt sick, completely ill. He’d made me feel safe — we’d even discussed how much we hated paedophiles and yet he was one.”
Young, already a mother of three, met Christopher Lander, 28, online in 2012 and had a baby boy together before tying the knot three years later, the paper reports.
But just a few weeks after the wedding, the police showed up and collared Lander for hosting hundreds of child porn photos on his computer.
A few weeks after that, the cops returned to ask if they’d ever played sex games where Young pretended to be dead — because she was also featured in some of the videos on Lander’s computer.
“I was confused — of course we hadn’t. We’d had a completely ‘normal’ sex life,” she told the Sun.
“They then told me they had reason to believe he was raping me while I slept. I couldn’t take it in, it was revolting.”
Young believes Lander was using sedatives she later found in a cabinet to drug her before assaulting her while she was out of it.
“I often felt exhausted in the evening and would go to bed early, and he did used to cook for me and make me hot drinks in the evening,” she said.
Landon was sentenced to 12 years behind bars in 2016 for a laundry list of filthy felonies, including rape, sexual assault of a child and distributing child porn.
In addition to raping Young, he’d also sexually abused a schoolgirl — then threatened with to kill her with a knife if she told anyone, the Ipswich Star reported at the time.
“It doesn’t go away. In a way I’m glad he raped me though, because it means he’s got a longer sentence – though it isn’t as long as he deserves,” she told The Sun.
“It’s so very confusing; you’d imagine you’d fall straight out of love with a man who did such disgusting things.”
“I can’t even think about him getting out and wanting to see our son again.”
