Trump calls Ivanka ‘honey,’ ‘baby’ during tax reform speech
WASHINGTON — She’ll always be Daddy’s girl.
President Trump proudly beckoned his eldest daughter, Ivanka, onto the stage Wednesday during a tax reform event in North Dakota and referred to her as “honey” and “baby.”
The president told the friendly crowd that Ivanka wanted to make the trip with him aboard Air Force One.
“She said: ‘Daddy, can I go with you?’ I like that,” Trump said of the 35-year-old mother of three.
“I said, ‘Yes, you can,’” Trump said.
Ivanka, a businesswoman and senior White House adviser, took the stage at her father’s prodding. He offered his daughter up as evidence he’s a decent guy.
“Sometimes, they’ll say: ‘He can’t be that bad a guy, look at Ivanka.’ Come on up, honey. She’s so good.”
Ivanka obliged.
“Hi, North Dakota, we love this state, so it’s always a pleasure to be back here,” Ivanka Trump said.
“You treated us very, very well in November and have continued to, so we like showing the love back,” she said.
A pleased papa responded: “Thank you, honey. Thanks, baby.”
“Come,” Trump then said, pulling Ivanka by the hand in for a kiss on the cheek.
