This thief got a two-for-one deal to die for.
A small pink urn containing a woman’s ashes was swiped from an Ontario moving sale, and her daughters are now pleading for its return, CTV news reported.
“This is a piece of my mom, and now that she’s gone it feels like part of my heart has been ripped out,” said Tammy Guimond-Thomas, one of the sisters.
Close to 100 people attended the sale at their 82-year-old father’s house Saturday and the sisters said they didn’t noticed the urn was missing until the very end.
Scott Myers, the boyfriend of one of the sisters, posted on Facebook asking for the thief to bring back the urn and promising, “No questions asked.”
“It’s a small item that somebody could have very easily slipped into their pocket,” Guimond-Thomas said. “We’re not blaming anybody—we just really would like my mother’s ashes back.”
The family says they’ve open a police report as the ashes have yet to be returned.
