Port Authority Police say they busted two men Friday when their brand new Lexus careened into a closed construction area just west of the George Washington Bridge toll booth in Fort Lee.
The driver failed a Breathalyzer test, and a loaded Phoenix Arms .22 semiautomatic handgun was recovered from the car, along with an open and empty bottle of Hennessy, police said.
The gun was fully loaded with an extra round in the chamber, police said.
Driver Darius E. Washington, 31, of Jamaica, Queens, was charged with gun possession, DWI, reckless driving and driving without a registration.
Passenger Kashiem Johnson, 24, of New Rochelle, NY, was charged with gun possession.
