The big bang is almost here!
After months of anticipation, the state will finally blow up the old Kosciuszko Bridge.
The blow-up, which Gov. Cuomo’s office referred to in a press release as an “energetic felling,” will happen Sunday morning at 8.
The debris from the old bridge, which connected Brooklyn and Queens, will then be carted away.
The new bridge is up and running.
The state had originally said it would blow up the rest of the bridge in August.
The state is holding a lottery where New Yorkers can apply and view the explosion. The deadline for submitting an application is Saturday at noon.
