An NYPD detective was nailed by a minivan and critically injured Sunday night as she was crossing a street on Staten Island, cops said.
The woman, who is assigned to the 121st Precinct detective squad, suffered a fractured skull after being struck on Richmond Ave. near Akron St. in Bulls Head at around 8:55 p.m., according to police.
The driver of the minivan remained on the scene and was said to be cooperating with authorities.
Sources told The Post that the detective was rushed to Richmond University Medical Center in critical condition. She is expected to survive.
She was canvassing the area with her partner at the time of the incident, in search of video showing a stabbing from earlier in the day, the sources said.
It’s unclear if the driver who hit the detective was speeding. She had not been ticketed or arrested as of early Monday morning.
