After welcoming his 14th child overall this past summer, former Jets cornerback Antonio Cromartie swears he and wife Terricka are now focused on raising their family, not expanding it.
“That is it. We’re done,” the 11-year NFL vet said Tuesday in an interview with For the Win.
Joined by his spouse of nine years, Terricka gave birth to daughter Jhett Paxton on Aug. 30, the sixth child she shares with Cromartie, 33.
“We’re blessed and thankful for our kids,” Terricka said. “I don’t want to be pregnant anymore. I enjoy being a mother to my kids that are here.”
Though Cromartie got a vasectomy in 2013, he and Terricka welcomed twins three years later, in May 2016. He maintains the births of his children following the procedure is the work of a higher power.
“It’s a blessing from God,” Cromartie said. “I’m part of that 1 percent that it happens to. That’s just the story of it. We figured everything was a gift from God, and we’re rolling with it.”
Now opening up their doors to reality TV cameras, Terricka is eager for the world to see how the father of 14 wrangles toddlers instead of receivers with Thursday’s premiere of “The Cromarties.”
“He puts as much effort into parenting as he did on the field,” she shared. “People will get to see him as a father. You’ll get to see how hands-on and present he is and how the kids love and adore him.”
In addition to the six children he shares with Terricka, Cromartie is also the father to eight other kids with different women.
