Moore denies knowing latest accuser despite allegedly signing her yearbook
Roy Moore denied the latest assault allegation launched against him after a woman claimed that he pushed her head into his crotch and tried to take her shirt off when she was 16 years old.
Moore claimed on Monday that he did not even know his latest accuser, Beverly Young Nelson — despite the fact that his signature appears in her high school yearbook.
“I can tell you without hesitation this is absolutely false,” Moore declared to reporters. “I never did what she said I did. I don’t even know the woman. I don’t know anything about her. I don’t even know where the restaurant is or was.”
In the woman’s yearbook, Moore’s signature appears with the date “12-22-77” and the name of the restaurant, “Olde Hickory House,” where the young woman worked as a waitress.
Nelson says the then-prosecutor often tried to grab her long red hair and flirt. Moore was 30 years old.
Despite the mounting allegations, Moore dismissed Nelson’s claims as a “political maneuver.”
