Eight lives left!
A bobcat miraculously survived a 50-mile journey while wedged in the grill of a Virginia woman’s car.
The unnamed driver was headed to work near Gloucester at around 7 a.m. on Thanksgiving when she felt a strange thud — but didn’t stop, according to the local station WTVR.
An hour later, she pulled into Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond and spotted the freaked-out feline lodged in the grill of her Toyota Prius, the station reported.
Richmond Animal Care and Control worker Christie Peters rushed to the scene and was stunned to find the animal in good shape.
“He was completely fine. It’s insane,” she told the station. “The only thing holding him up was a wire… to his underbelly and one plastic piece under his ribcage.”
The big kitty “hissed” at her, so she sedated it and used a catch pole to remove it from the car. She and other workers then transported the animal Wildlife Center of Virginia in Waynesboro, where it was examined for injuries.
The lucky feline suffered only one minor cut on his back, she said.
“It was just wonderful to know that he made it through such a weird, crazy situation,” Peters said.
