A Dumpster fire sent a Hell’s Kitchen nightclub up in flames Sunday night — but the hot spot was mercifully closed at the time, officials said.
The blaze kicked up inside the receptacle around 9 p.m. and quickly spread to a nearby building, which houses the Stage 48 club on W. 48th near 11th Ave.
The venue burned for nearly three hours as approximately 140 firefighters worked to extinguish the three-alarm blaze before bringing it under control around 11:40 p.m.
No injuries were reported.
