More sexual abuse victims stared down vile former USA Gymnastics team doctor Larry Nassar in a Michigan courtroom Wednesday — including one woman who called him the “spawn of Satan.”
“Larry, you made me believe that you were my friend,” former gymnast Jeanette Antolin said at Nassar’s sentencing hearing.
“You deceived me. You manipulated me, and you abused me. I truly believe that you are the spawn of Satan.”
She added that “only a monster would harm innocent children the way Larry did.”
Tiffany Thomas Lopez, who was assaulted by Nassar at least 10 times while she was a freshman at Michigan State University, said the abuse she suffered destroyed her college experience.
“I imagine hitting you if I ever had the opportunity to see you again,” Lopez told the disgraced doctor, according to CBS News. “Instead I will allow my thoughts and my feelings to hit your heart.”
At least 150 women — including several recent gold medal-winning gymnasts — have accused Nassar of sexually abusing them under the guise of medical treatment.
Prosecutors are seeking up to 125 years in prison for the 54-year-old molester. He’s already been sentenced to 60 years behind bars after pleading guilty to child pornography charges last year.
“We seek justice,” Lopez said. “We deserve justice. And we will have it.”
The mother of a former USA Gymnastics national team member shared a statement from her daughter, Maggie Nichols, who was abused by Nassar at the age of 15 when she went to him for back pain.
“I trusted what he was doing at first, but then he started touching me in places I didn’t think he should,” the statement said.
Maggie’s mom, Gina Nichols, said she blamed USA Gymnastics, the US Olympic Committee and Michigan State University for the abuse her daughter suffered.
“You actually are not a real doctor,” Gina Nichols told Nassar. “You’re not a doctor at all. You’re a serial child molester, a pedophile.”
