The family of a young Texas woman thought to have gone missing with a murder suspect made a desperate plea for her return.
Jasmine Adams, of Fort Worth, was reported missing after she suddenly left her family’s home on Jan. 1, news station WFAA reported.
“To not know where she is, it hurts,” her mom Lora Bacy told the news station. “I don’t know if she’s hurt or OK. I just don’t know.”
Adams’ relatives said the 21-year-old is likely traveling with Brandon Sampson, who is wanted in connection to the murder of a Dallas woman. The victim, Jacqueline Hughes, was reportedly found dead nearly two weeks ago in Sampson’s home.
A missing persons report was filed for the 34-year-old homicide victim the same day Adams disappeared with the suspect, according to WFAA.
Homicide investigators reportedly visited Adams’ home and asked her mom for help with Hughes’ case.
“Detectives came here four or five days ago,” Bacy told the news station. “He showed me a mugshot, and I said, ‘Yes, that’s the man my daughter left with.’ ”
Bacy had a message for Sampson in hopes he will bring her daughter home.
“I pray that God touches your soul so you can stop doing what you’re doing, and let my baby go,” Bacy said.
