Colombia-born TV and film director Rodrigo Garcia, son of famed novelist Gabriel García Márquez and best known for his work on the film “Last Days in the Desert,” is selling his apartment at The Olcott, at 27 W. 72nd St., for $3.5 million.
Garcia and wife, Adriana Sheinbaum, bought the 1,798-square-foot, three-bedroom pad with three baths for $2.4 million in 2012.
It came to market in September asking $3.75 million; in October, its asking price received a $250,000 price cut.
The unit comes with an open kitchen, hardwood floors and a washer/dryer.
This week Garcia hosted a book party, with Brown Harris Stevens listing brokers Wendy Sarasohn and Jamie Joseph, for his friend Leslie Cohen to celebrate her debut novel, “This Love Story Will Self-Destruct.”
Amenities in the 1925 building include a children’s playroom and a gym.
