It’s getting ugly on Radio Row.
Two Houston sports radio personalities got into a heated argument in the media cauldron at Super Bowl LII, which is packed into a food court at the Mall of America. The feud was between SportsRadio 610’s Seth Payne and SportsTalk 790’s Josh Innes, though the cause of the animosity is unclear.
The Houston Chronicle puts the blame on Innes — casting him as an attention-grabbing instigator. And indeed, the problems seem to have started with Innes’ producer, Jim Mudd, going over to Payne and recording his show on his phone. Innes enters the fray from there, and screaming ensues. Innes backs up one Twitter user’s claim that Payne, a former Texans defensive tackle, called Mudd over to the table and proceeded to call Innes “a bitch.”
Innes was fired from his job in Philadelphia last year for a racist response to a fake caller from a rival network. And that only came after he called Eagles center Jason Kelce “a house negro.”
