BLOOMINGTON, Minn. — Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski was on the practice field Wednesday but remains in the concussion protocol.
Gronkowski wore a red jersey in practice, according to the pool report distributed by the Pro Football Writers Association, and was limited in practice.
“We red-jersey’d him today, so he’s working his way back,” Patriots coach Bill Belichick said.
Gronkowski is expected to play Sunday in Super Bowl LII against the Eagles after suffering a concussion in the AFC Championship game two weeks ago.
Gronkowski was not available during the team’s media session, but made a promotional appearance Tuesday night, and when asked by a few reporters if he would be ready for Sunday, he said, “Yes.”
