NORCROSS, Ga. — Police are investigating the apparent armed kidnapping of a woman from an Atlanta-area motel.
Gwinnett police Sgt. Jake Smith tells news outlets that the woman and a male friend were in a Crossland Economy Studios motel room in Georgia when a man knocked on their door around 2 a.m. Wednesday.
Police say the man produced a gun, demanded their belongings, took the woman, and forced her into the friend’s car, which he then stole.
Police found the stolen car in Chamblee three hours later, but the woman and the suspect have not been spotted.
Police have not identified the suspect or the victims, but have said the woman may answer to “Kristen.”
It’s unclear if either victim knew the suspect.
