Man attempts to abduct two girls: cops

A creep who tried to abduct two young girls inside a Staten Island apartment building has been nabbed by cops after almost a day in the wind, police said Sunday.

Michael Gordon allegedly grabbed an 11-year-old girl as she played in the hallway with a 9-year-old friend Saturday, and then attempted to drag both children into a nearby elevator, police sources said.

The horrifying incident unfolded on the third floor of 180 Broad Street in Clifton.

The girls wriggled away from Gordan, 46, who ran off. He was picked up at a relative’s house Sunday, cops said.

Gordon, who does not live in the building, was slapped with charges of kidnapping, assault, and acting in a manner injuries to a child.

The Staten Island man is known to local police as an emotionally disturbed person who often lingers in the neighborhood, according to the same source.

He has several prior arrests, largely for drug possession.
