The Eagles aren’t done roasting Cris Collinsworth over his Super Bowl commentary.
As the NBC analyst continued to take a beating on social media over his broadcast, namely questioning tight end Zach Ertz’s game-winning touchdown, defensive end Chris Long joined in on the action Monday night while watching a replay of Sunday’s game.
“Ertz takes 17 steps and Collinsworth says he thinks they have to overturn it,” Long tweeted, along with four crying, laughing emoji faces.
Ertz took three steps toward the end zone and then dove for the goal line with the ball coming loose as he hit the ground for what would be the game-winning score.
“I’m not even taking a guess,” Collinsworth said before the play was confirmed a touchdown.
Collinsworth also thought Corey Clement’s touchdown catch was going to be overturned, declaring “I give up” after it was upheld for a touchdown.
Long also was put off by a personal critique from the former Bengals receiver, who suggested the defensive end was in charge of covering Tom Brady on an end-around pass from Danny Amendola that the wide-open quarterback dropped.
“He also thought it’s my job to run with Tom Brady w QB wheel route on a reverse pass. Lmao,” Long wrote.
Just imagine how upset the Eagles and their fans would have been if the game did not end in a 41-33 win, with Philadelphia becoming Super Bowl champs for the first time.
