Just when you thought political correctness couldn’t get any worse . . .
Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau was caught on camera correcting a woman for saying “mankind” instead of “peoplekind” at an event in Edmonton last week.
“We like to say peoplekind, not necessarily mankind — ’cause it’s more inclusive,” he told her, sparking a slew of tweets last Thursday following the Q&A at MacEwan University.
“Is Trudeau mansplaining feminism?” wrote one user.
“That’s one woke himbo,” another said.
Trudeau’s slap on the wrist came just days after Canadian lawmakers voted to make the country’s national anthem gender neutral — by changing out the words “all thy sons” for “all of us.”
“Another positive step towards gender equality,” Trudeau tweeted on the night of the vote. “#InAllOfUsCommand.”
