12 things designer Ulla Johnson needs to survive Fashion Week

Obsessed. That’s how many women describe their attachment to Ulla Johnson’s effortless dresses. “This is my favorite outfit!” Jennifer Lawrence told Robin Roberts on “Good Morning America” after her breezy, striped Ulla number got a lot of love on Twitter. Fans of the brand also admire the designer’s low-key personal style, gorgeous family and magnificent Brooklyn townhouse.

A born-and-bred New Yorker, Johnson launched her self-funded fashion line in 2000. After stepping back for a few years to have three children with her husband, foundation director Zach Miner, she now sells her collections at fashion-forward stores and her own Bleecker Street boutique.
