The sprawling 15-acre Hamptons estate owned by late Nine West co-founder Vince Camuto, which originally asked $100 million in 2008, has sold for about $49 million, according to the Wall Street Journal.
The final sale price comes after reports that the spread had finally entered contract after bouncing on and off the market for a decade. The $49 million figure is less than half its initial ask.
Most recently, the property — named Villa Maria — was listed for $72 million. Camuto and his wife and business partner, Louise, bought it for $35 million in 2005. Camuto passed away in 2015.
Villa Maria, which has 1,100 feet of frontage on Mecox Bay, sold in two deals. One unnamed buyer shelled out nearly $36 million for the 20,000-square-foot main house and an adjacent 11-acre plot of land. Another unidentified purchaser spent some $13 million for a few parcels of land attached to the estate.
The grounds include a guest cottage, an all-weather tennis court, a pool and two pool pavilions.
