A quick-thinking shoplifting suspect in Indianapolis apparently gave a crap about her freedom, using her own poop to evade arrest at a hardware store, police said.
A loss-prevention officer at a Menards on 42nd Street told a responding police officer on Tuesday afternoon that he saw a woman remove a video camera from its packaging and then slip the item into her bag, the Indianapolis Star reports.
The store employee told officers that he tried to stop the woman from exiting the store, but she “reached behind her and dug into her pants and pulled out a handful of feces and threw it at him, striking him on his chest,” according to police.
The woman then ran out of the store and escaped. She remains unidentified, police said.
Investigators are currently reviewing surveillance footage from inside the store in hopes of identifying the woman.
