This recently built Holmby Hills dwelling, which was once home to late Hollywood exec Brad Grey, has hit the market for a mighty $77.5 million, the Wall Street Journal reports.
Grey — who was the CEO and chairman of Paramount Pictures — died of cancer at age 59 in 2017, less than a year after he and his wife Cassandra, the founder of beauty line Violet Grey, finished building the 12,800-square-foot, five-bedroom residence. During his 12-year tenure at Paramount, Grey oversaw the production of popular films including “There Will Be Blood” and “Iron Man.”
Spread across roughly 2 acres, the “contemporary farmhouse”-style main building has two kitchens, a den with a bar and an outdoor swimming pool. The grounds include a separate structure, which houses a pilates studio, a gym, a steam room and a sauna.
Beyond space and perks, the property also boasts a star-studded past. Frank Sinatra, his first wife and their children lived on the property — though in a different house, which has since been demolished — in the late 1940s, the Journal notes.
The Greys bought that site in 2010 for $18.5 million and tried listing it in 2011 for $23.5 million, but had no takers. The couple razed the Sinatra spread and relisted the land for $19.99 million, but then decided to build a new home on the lot instead.
Cassandra Grey and her son will move to a smaller house.
Stephen Shapiro of Westside Estate Agency and Linda May of Hilton & Hyland have the listing.
