The street in front of the Queens station house where rookie cop Eddie Byrne worked before he was slain was named in his honor Monday.
“This is a moment to remember,’’ Mayor de Blasio said outside the 103rd Precinct station house at 91st Avenue — now Police Officer Edward Byrne Avenue — and 168th Street.
Byrne, 22, was shot on Feb. 26, 1988, while guarding a witness in a drug trial.
